Using Web 2.0 to teach first-year English

Summary:

These pages detail my ongoing experiments with Web 2.0 technologies in first-year English composition and literature courses.  To date, I have used these tools to record instruction and manage students’ writing assignments, and also as a means to bring the educational benefits of the Web into the classroom. The most significant benefit of this activity has been my gradual understanding that students write better when they presume their writing will be posted in a public forum.
